Experience Exciting programs that are fun for your students and promote hands on learning! These programs are tied to the Delaware State Standards, topical pathways and performance indicators. Let us help you make history, science and mathematics come alive for your students.
Reservations - Advance reservations are required for ALL educational programs. All school programs need to be formally requested in writing through email at mailto:email@example.com(no exceptions). This way all parties have correspondence to refer back to.
Book early as space fills quickly. Reservations continue through the year depending on availability. Reservations may be made in the fall for winter and spring programs.
Programs usually run for 2 hours and you can pick from these schedules:
Program 10am-12pm with lunch from 12-12:30
Program 10:30am-12:30pm with lunch from 12:30-1:00pm
Lunch 11-11:30am with Program from 11:30am-1:30pm
You do not have to have lunch at the Museum but we do have an indoor picnic area if you would like to bring your lunches and eat here before you go back to school.
We don’t close until 3pm so you can stay as long as you like after your educational program (no extra charge). Since our programs only use a small part of our Museum, there is plenty more to see. So make a day out of it!
We charge for a minimum of 15 students.
Prices are listed with each program description and are usually $4 per student.
Programs have a maximum of 85 students if you are not visiting the gift shop and up to 100* if you are visiting the gift shop as part of your rotation. Larger groups can visit over 2 days.
With groups 30 or more students you get 2 free adults for every 10 students. For groups less than 30 students you get 1 free adult for every 10 students.
*For groups up to 100 the tour will be 2.5 hours instead of 2 hours.
A $20.00 non-refundable booking fee may be required. The balance is due as you enter the Museum on the day of your visit. We prefer payment by check but we also accept Visa & MasterCard. Sorry, No American Express.
We have an inside lunch area with picnic tables & benches available. So pack your lunches!
We also have a gift shop with inexpensive items so your students will remember their trip to the DAMV!
We have ample parking for busses and chaperones.
