Outreach Programs

Outreach programs are charged at a minimum of 15 students and fees must be paid in full one week before the the program date.  Classes should not exceed 25 students per program session.  Up to four sessions per day per topic may be scheduled, dependant on staff availability. In addition to per student charges, there is a travel fee which varies by location. All fees must be paid in full one week before the program date.

Items and objects from our long and not so long past will puzzle and astound the students as they enjoy an in-school trip through the world of artifacts and old things. Items from the home and farm will be handled and explained as we take a trip down memory lane.

Crops That We Grow: 
Where does our food come from?
Grades 1-3 
1 hour • $2.00 / Student
We all go to the grocery store, but where does the grocery store get the food? Do we use what we see in the fields as we travel by? Do farmers have anything to do in the winter? What about other foods that we don't see in the fields? This program will focus on these and similar agricultural topics.

Insects in My Garden
Grades 1-3 
1 hour • $2.00 / Student
Why are insects considered good? Why are some considered bad? Can good insects harm us or are they all safe? Find out the answers to these and other insect questions. Program will include specimens found in gardens and farm fields. Emphasis will be placed on insect roles in agriculture.
